Team Quest Thailand has hand selected each one of our trainers. Our criteria is strict and specific to what is going to help our students get the most out of training. Qualities that we are looking for in coaches include Willingness to go above and beyond what is expected, teach and translate techniques in the most productive way possible, and leadership ability.
When Team Quest Thailand opened we had the perfect Coach in mind. Alex Branom has an extensive Jiu Jitsu background. Alex has been with Team Quest since 2002 when he started training under 12x UFC vet Matt Lindland and legendary MMA trainer Robert Follis as a 13 year old kid. Through out the years Alex has had the opportunity to train and learn from teammates such as Randy Couture, Dan Henderson, Matt Lindland, Chael Sonnen, Ed Herman, Chris Leben, Nate Quarry, Matt Horwich, Chris Wilson, Pat Healy, Ryan Healy, Ian Loveland, and many more. He is the youngest fighter from the first era of Team Quest fighters.
Along with strong MMA, wrestling, and submission grappling foundation under the Team Quest system, Alex has also reached out to the 10th planet system to further his skill set. Alex is a 10th planet practitioner and trains personally under grand master Eddie Bravo.
Alex also reached out to improve his skill set by making the move to Thailand in 2008. Alex has trained extensively under Team Quest Thailand Muay Thai instructors Kru Ying and Kru Ping.
With the help of legendary MMA trainer Robert Follis, Alex has put together one of the most technical Jiu Jitsu systems in the entire world. Alex will except nothing less than his students improving each and every class. Students at Team Quest Thailand will get more technical and learn to push themselves beyond limits through hard work, dedication, and mental toughness.
