Team Quest Thailand is proud to be having The New York Bad Ass, Phil Baroni visit us here in Chiang Mai. Baroni will be flying out to Japan where he will be fighting another tough vet of the sport Hayato Sakurai on New Year’s Eve at the Saitama Super Arena. Baroni is coming off of one of his most impressive victories in his career and will be looking to out do his last performance.
Baroni has been training hard for this fight with top 5 lightweight fighter Josh Thompson at the world famous America Kick Boxing Academy in San Jose. You can read about it in his blog here. Baroni has wanted to come check out Team Quest Thailand since we originally opened last year and this time it’s perfect timing. Baroni will make the trip out after his bout on New Year’s Eve and will looking to skill build on top of his already impressive striking skills.
Baroni has one of the most extensive MMA backgrounds in the entire sport. With 30 pro fights, he has fought the best of the best in the sport. Being an 10x UFC, 6x Pride, 2x Strikforce, and 2x ONE FC vet you can bet he has fought the toughest fighters in the world. Baroni has fought everyone including old school legends like Matt Lindland, Ryo Chonan, Frank Shamrock, and Evan Tanner.

Baroni is no stranger to training in Thailand. Phil has spent a considerable amount of time training in Phuket, Thailand before and will be looking to check out the North of Thailand and all Chiang Mai has to offer.
Baroni will be hosting a seminar at Team Quest Thailand where he will teach wrestling techniques for MMA. The seminar will be from 2:00-4:00pm Saturday the 5th, 2013. The cost of the seminar is 1,000 THB for students and 1,500 for non Team Quest Thailand students. There will be an opportunity after the seminar to get Photos and Autographs will Baroni. We suggest to preregister as we are expecting a large turnout.
